I am definity going to read that book. Ill see if it's in borders today.
But mahler had such a deep connection with nature and the meaning of life and it's definitly what inspired his compositions. His symphonies go from the darkest points to making you feel like your sitting face to face with god.
This is the essence of Non-attachment. If we know who WE are, it is irrelevant who or what anyone else thinnks of us.
